This new degree provides a firm foundation for a career in the general field of finance and is particularly appropriate for those who wish to work as financial intermediaries working with organisations such as banks, stockbrokers, investment houses, pension and insurance companies. However, you may also move into functional and general management roles, and the programme well equips you for this by providing you with sound evaluation and analytical skills.
The modules in the first two years are all compulsory. The first year provides you with a firm foundation in general business and finance agendas including economics, accounting, quantitative methods and information technology. The second year continues with these themes, adding law and research skills to the agenda. The final year is focused almost exclusively in the area of finance with a number of optional subjects that complement the core area
